In 1975 through GRZ directive all individuals or Private Estates were closed and ZNBS was mandated to handle all Estates business in the country. the biggest difficult ZNBS had in administering this responsibility is that many properties in the country belonged to non-Zambians(whites) and they did not want to hand over their properties to ZNBS. they prefered to dispose and handle all the matters relating to their properties through solicitors and other commercial Banks and such very little money was coming in.

It has large clientele base, an in-house valuation and maintenance team as well as the legal department that all supplement to the successful conclusion of a transaction.
